Psalms 47

47:1
לַמְנַצֵּחַ לִבְנֵי־קֹרַח מִזְמוֹר׃
For the Leader; a Psalm for the sons of Korah.

47:2
כָּל־הָעַמִּים תִּקְעוּ־כָף הָרִיעוּ לֵאלֹהִים בְּקוֹל רִנָּה׃
O clap your hands, all ye peoples; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. .

47:3
כִּי־יְהוָה עֶלְיוֹן נוֹרָא מֶלֶךְ גָּדוֹל עַל־כָּל־הָאָרֶץ׃
For the LORD is most high, awful; a great King over all the earth.
47:4
יַדְבֵּר עַמִּים תַּחְתֵּינוּ וּלְאֻמִּים תַּחַת רַגְלֵינוּ׃
He subdueth peoples under us, and nations under our feet.

יִבְחַר־לָנוּ אֶת־נַחֲלָתֵנוּ אֶת גְּאוֹן יַעֲקֹב אֲשֶׁר־אָהֵב סֶלָה׃
He chooseth our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob whom He loveth. Selah

47:6
עָלָה אֱלֹהִים בִּתְרוּעָה יְהֹוָה בְּקוֹל שׁוֹפָר׃
God is gone up amidst shouting, the LORD amidst the sound of the horn.
47:7
זַמְּרוּ אֱלֹהִים זַמֵּרוּ זַמְּרוּ לְמַלְכֵּנוּ זַמֵּרוּ׃
Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
47:8
כִּי מֶלֶךְ כָּל־הָאָרֶץ אֱלֹהִים זַמְּרוּ מַשְׂכִּיל׃
For God is the King of all the earth; sing ye praises in a skilful song.
47:9
מָלַךְ אֱלֹהִים עַל־גּוֹיִם אֱלֹהִים יָשַׁב עַל־כִּסֵּא קָדְשׁוֹ׃
God reigneth over the nations; God sitteth upon His holy throne.

נְדִיבֵי עַמִּים נֶאֱסָפוּ עַם אֱלֹהֵי אַבְרָהָם כִּי לֵאלֹהִים מָגִנֵּי־אֶרֶץ מְאֹד נַעֲלָה׃
The princes of the peoples are gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham; for unto God belong the shields of the earth; He is greatly exalted.

'Clap your hands, all ye people' is about as physically demonstrative as the Psalter's instructions for worship get. Celebration here is loud and communal, not quiet or private.
