Theologa | Psalms 149:149:9

הַלְלוּ יָהּ שִׁירוּ לַיהוָה שִׁיר חָדָשׁ תְּהִלָּתוֹ בִּקְהַל חֲסִידִים׃

Hallelujah. Sing unto the LORD a new song, And His praise in the assembly of the saints.

¹

יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו בְּנֵי־צִיּוֹן יָגִילוּ בְמַלְכָּם׃

Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

יְהַלְלוּ שְׁמוֹ בְמָחוֹל בְּתֹף וְכִנּוֹר יְזַמְּרוּ־לוֹ׃

Let them praise His name in the dance; Let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp.

כִּי־רוֹצֶה יְהוָה בְּעַמּוֹ יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָה׃

For the LORD taketh pleasure in His people; He adorneth the humble with salvation.

יַעְלְזוּ חֲסִידִים בְּכָבוֹד יְרַנְּנוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָם׃

Let the saints exult in glory; Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

רוֹמְמוֹת אֵל בִּגְרוֹנָם וְחֶרֶב פִּיפִיּוֹת בְּיָדָם׃

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand;

¹

לַעֲשׂוֹת נְקָמָה בַּגּוֹיִם תּוֹכֵחֹת בַּל־אֻמִּים׃

To execute vengeance upon the nations, And chastisements upon the peoples;

לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בְּזִקִּים וְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶם בְּכַבְלֵי בַרְזֶל׃

To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron;

¹

לַעֲשׂוֹת בָּהֶם מִשְׁפָּט כָּתוּב הָדָר הוּא לְכָל־חֲסִידָיו הַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃

To execute upon them the judgment written; He is the glory of all His saints. Hallelujah.
