134:1
שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת הִנֵּה בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָה כָּל־עַבְדֵי יְהוָה הָעֹמְדִים בְּבֵית־יְהוָה בַּלֵּילוֹת׃
A Song of Ascents. Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, That stand in the house of the LORD in the night seasons.

שְׂאוּ־יְדֵכֶם קֹדֶשׁ וּבָרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָה׃
Lift up your hands to the sanctuary, And bless ye the LORD.
134:3
יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה מִצִּיּוֹן עֹשֵׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ׃
The LORD bless thee out of Zion; Even He that made heaven and earth.

An understated close to the pilgrimage

This final Song of Ascents is only three verses, a brief blessing exchanged between worshippers and temple servants during the night watch. Why end an entire fifteen-psalm pilgrimage collection on something this understated rather than a grand climax...
