Psalms 132

132:1
שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת זְכוֹר־יְהוָה לְדָוִד אֵת כָּל־עֻנּוֹתוֹ׃
A Song of Ascents. LORD, remember unto David All his affliction;

132:2
אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע לַיהוָה נָדַר לַאֲבִיר יַעֲקֹב׃
How he swore unto the LORD, And vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:
132:3
אִם־אָבֹא בְּאֹהֶל בֵּיתִי אִם־אֶעֱלֶה עַל־עֶרֶשׂ יְצוּעָי׃
‘Surely I will not come into the tent of my house, Nor go up into the bed that is spread for me;
132:4
אִם־אֶתֵּן שְׁנַת לְעֵינָי לְעַפְעַפַּי תְּנוּמָה׃
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, Nor slumber to mine eyelids;
132:5
עַד־אֶמְצָא מָקוֹם לַיהוָה מִשְׁכָּנוֹת לַאֲבִיר יַעֲקֹב׃
Until I find out a place for the LORD, A dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Jacob.'

הִנֵּה־שְׁמַעֲנוּהָ בְאֶפְרָתָה מְצָאנוּהָ בִּשְׂדֵי־יָעַר׃
Lo, we heard of it as being in Ephrath; We found it in the field of athe wood.

נָבוֹאָה לְמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָיו נִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לַהֲדֹם רַגְלָיו׃
Let us go into His dwelling-place; Let us worship at His footstool. .

קוּמָה יְהוָה לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ אַתָּה וַאֲרוֹן עֻזֶּךָ׃
Arise, O LORD, unto Thy resting-place; Thou, and the ark of Thy strength.
132:9
כֹּהֲנֶיךָ יִלְבְּשׁוּ־צֶדֶק וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ׃
Let Thy priests be clothed with righteousness; And let Thy saints shout for joy.
132:10
בַּעֲבוּר דָּוִד עַבְדֶּךָ אַל־תָּשֵׁב פְּנֵי מְשִׁיחֶךָ׃
For Thy servant David's sake Turn not away the face of Thine anointed.

נִשְׁבַּע־יְהוָה לְדָוִד אֱמֶת לֹא־יָשׁוּב מִמֶּנָּה מִפְּרִי בִטְנְךָ אָשִׁית לְכִסֵּא־לָךְ׃
The LORD swore unto David in truth; He will not turn back from it: 'Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
132:12
אִם־יִשְׁמְרוּ בָנֶיךָ בְּרִיתִי וְעֵדֹתִי זוֹ אֲלַמְּדֵם גַּם־בְּנֵיהֶם עֲדֵי־עַד יֵשְׁבוּ לְכִסֵּא־לָךְ׃
If thy children keep My covenant And My testimony that I shall teach them, Their children also for ever shall sit upon thy throne.'

כִּי־בָחַר יְהוָה בְּצִיּוֹן אִוָּהּ לְמוֹשָׁב לוֹ׃
For the LORD hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation:
132:14
זֹאת־מְנוּחָתִי עֲדֵי־עַד פֹּה־אֵשֵׁב כִּי אִוִּתִיהָ׃
'This is My resting-place for ever; Here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
132:15
צֵידָהּ בָּרֵךְ אֲבָרֵךְ אֶבְיוֹנֶיהָ אַשְׂבִּיעַ לָחֶם׃
I will abundantly bless her provision; I will give her needy bread in plenty.

וְכֹהֲנֶיהָ אַלְבִּישׁ יֶשַׁע וַחֲסִידֶיהָ רַנֵּן יְרַנֵּנוּ׃
Her priests also will I clothe with salvation; And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
132:17
שָׁם אַצְמִיחַ קֶרֶן לְדָוִד עָרַכְתִּי נֵר לִמְשִׁיחִי׃
There will I make a horn to shoot up unto David, There have I ordered a lamp for Mine anointed.
132:18
אוֹיְבָיו אַלְבִּישׁ בֹּשֶׁת וְעָלָיו יָצִיץ נִזְרוֹ׃
His enemies will I clothe with shame; But upon himself shall his crown shine.'
